Here are some pics of a new one I have been working on. This is on a really good client of mine that in the last year has filled up will some of the best work that i have done (what up tony if you read this). He wanted to do something that expressed beauty in death, penance, temptation (my words not his), and reflected his heritage. The day of the dead girl has been done to death but still i feel this was a cool one, of course i started with an image of just a woman’s face (sorry i don’t remember the models name). I used the hair to convey some motion through the upper part of the piece, as well as to contrast the light tones in her face. The marigolds are the traditional flower for dia de los muertos so we had to have them. Tony wanted to devil tempting him so we put that on the underside, and well the rest just fell into place. Let me know what you think.
